Oh, what a gift to have a sister like yours, Shereen! I envy you—I always wanted a sister. And what a great "partner in crime," you had—I remember many of the same activities as a child and the utter fun we kids had engaging in them. We had several haunted houses, complete with bowls of peeled grapes for eyeballs and cold pasta for "guts," lol!

I'm so glad you had your sister (and brother) to help you get through the more difficult times; we cope in the best ways we can, and siblings can be such a vital part of that.

Thank you for the reminders about fun and its relationship to creativity. Too true! I'm at my happiest when being creative—or even just when letting fun be the goal of any activity. Nowadays, writing helps fulfill some of that essential need, I think. You've really struck a chord here! :)
