A difficult but wondrous gift, Michelle. Anything that makes us slow down is worth paying homage to, and I'm so glad to know that you're finding what's beaming for you at the rusty door.

A smashed kneecap and the pandemic taught me to slow down, though sometimes I feel I'm losing my deep understanding of that freedom; our culture doesn't make it easy to keep hold of these lessons. Slow is so restorative; we can't lose sight of that.
